Claiming of Race Kit for Newton Challenge 2012

Almost, if not everything, is set for our next run (after our Nike We Run Manila 10K 2011).  Honestly, it is not the race that is making me look forward to it, but it's the thought that I'll be back to the country that has been my home for six (6) months.  Okay, that's exaggerated.  I am just looking forward to is the fried fish noodles at Sony. *wink*

Anyway, initially, I thought of seeking my godfather's assistance in claiming of our race kit for the Newton Challenge 2012.  But then, an idea pops on my mind to ask the organizers if we can claim it ourselves when we hit SG.  Luckily, we can.  Here's the reply of the organizers:

I Lost My Love for Running

Partially.

I can still remember how I dreamed of doing a full marathon. I am so full of enthusiasm at that time. But now, the feeling of longing to be a full pledged marathoner had pass me by. I know a number of marathoners would say that I'd be missing half (or even a three quarter) of my running life without completing even just a single marathon. I know. But it really doesn't send spark in my eyes anymore. Even the half mary.

But I am not closing my doors to running. I still wanted to do a 5K or a 10K once in a blue moon, as long as my schedule permits. Yes, my new career is really making my days busy - and I'm loving it.

So, how do I keep myself fit? (Or am I really fit?)

Protect your feet with Thorlos™ Socks

You may spend thousands of pesos to beautify your skin. And spend thousands more to get a fit and trim body.

But did you ever stop to think that underneath it all – what can give you a good feeling all over -- are healthy feet that run and walk with energy and confidence?

Our feet are more important than we think. We can’t function well if our feet are tired. We can’t smile or feel good if our feet hurt. We can’t reach our destination if our feet make us wince in pain. That’s why foot doctors – called podiatrists – keep on emphasizing foot health. More than the shoes we wear, foot doctors say, it’s the socks that will give us the most effective protection.

500K Runners vs. Cyber Crimes

I don't normally reply to anonymous text messages. More so, I simply ignore chain text messages as I don't believe that my fate depends on that message. It is simply a chain letter in digital version. Same rule applies whenever I receive anonymous and chain messages in my e-mail. Such goes directly to my trash bin which I empty before I log out.

When it comes to social networking sites, say Facebook, I don't normally add friends - I wait them to add me instead. I don't know, but that's a prerogative that I live by with these sites. Well, unless required by online contests by which I am sort-of fond of joining. At the same sense, I do not accept friend requests right then and there. If I don't know the person and we have no mutual friends, it is quick for me to click on that Ignore Button. No, I am not mean. I do accept friend requests even if I don't know the person as I am basing it with our common friends. I had a number of friends from the blogging and running world that I never know personally nor online, but I still accept their request simply because we all have the same passion - blogging and/or running.

How about you? Do you have a set of principles that you follow when living in the online world? Or are you an easy prey?
